I. General Description

To aviod the risk of scratching when a drilling rig with top drive passing through the racking board, MSFP-2D digital safety protection device produced by our company plays a key role in protection. The device consists of display host, control unit and link status acquisition unit, and is mainly used to monitor the load, speed, and height parameters of the hook for drilling and workover rigs, avoid top drive scratching the racking board, and the intelligent deceleration and braking controls for the hook at upper and lower warning points; simultaneously equipped with alarm and recording functions for overspeed and overload.

   This device is fully automatically controlled, easy for operation, and the alarm information is clear at a glance. The link acquisition unit transmits signals wirelessly to the control unit, which greatly facilitates the driller.

II. Main Functions

1、Real-time display the current hook load by monitoring the oil pressure of the deadline anchor. When the hook is overloaded, it can real-time alarm and activate emergency braking measures.

2、Real-time display the current hook height and speed by monitoring the rotation of the drawworks drum via encoder; when the hook reaches the upper and lower limit braking height, the system activates the automatic brake program according to the hook running height, speed and load to prevent collision accidents, and has the overspeed protection function.

3、During the tripping operation, the tilting status of the link is monitored in real time, and the warning, deceleration, and braking position actions are scientifically set to realize the interlock between the tilting of the top drive link and up and down movement of the top drive (racking board height area). When the link is in the tilting position, the brake is immediately activated to stop the top drive running up and down.
